Who Are Refresher Lessons For?
Refresher lessons are for fully licensed drivers who want to improve their confidence or address specific weaknesses. You might be returning to driving after a long break, feeling anxious after an accident, or simply lacking confidence in particular situations like motorway driving, town centres or parking.
Refresher lessons aren't a formal course — there's no test at the end and no set number of hours required. You decide what you want to work on, and your instructor will put together a programme tailored to exactly that.
⚠️ Important: Full licence required
Refresher lessons are only available to holders of a full valid driving licence — either manual or automatic. They are not available for provisional licence holders. If you're learning to drive for the first time, please see our manual or automatic lesson pages.
What Can Refresher Lessons Cover?
You decide the focus. Common areas our refresher pupils work on include:
- General confidence and getting back behind the wheel after a break
- Motorway and dual carriageway driving
- Driving in busy town and city centre conditions
- Parking — parallel, bay and reverse manoeuvres
- Confidence after an accident or near-miss
- Driving on unfamiliar road types or at night
Manual & Automatic Available
Refresher lessons are available in both manual and automatic cars. If you hold a manual licence but have only recently started driving an automatic, or vice versa, we can accommodate that. Call the office to discuss availability of the right instructor and vehicle type in your area.
